Impression vom Vertical Up , das am Samstag, 26. Februar 2022 in Kitzbühel (Tirol, Österreich) stattfand. Die Teilnehmer/innen kraxeln dabei 860 Meter auf der extrem steilen Ski-Weltcup-Piste "Streif" hoch. Ein Wanderer braucht dafür bei guter Kondition 2 Stunden. Der (46-jährige) Sieger hat es in 33:19 Minuten geschafft! Vor allem ist es aber eine riesige Gaudi. Einen Eindruck davon gibt dieser kurze Videoclip (1:30 min), den ich gestern aus bisher unveröffentlichten Takes gemacht habe:

Taken the day before yesterday during a hike in Kurzras at the end of the Schnals Valley (South Tyrol, Italy). A group of children in the Martin Busch Hut (Ötztal, Tyrol, Austria). I can't believe it: recently the entire summit of the Kitzbüheler Horn has been fenced off with palisades. And yet the last accidents did not happen on the summit, but through carelessness during the ascent via the hiking trail leading north to the summit. ~~~~~ Ich fasse es nicht: Seit kurzem ist der gesamte Gipfel des Kitzbüheler Horns mit Palisaden eingezäunt. Dabei passierten die letzten Unfälle nicht auf dem Gipfel, sondern durch Unachtsamkeit beim Aufstieg über den nördlich zum Gipfel führenden Wanderweg.

The picture shows the mountaineers' chapel in Vent (Ötztal Alps, Tyrol, Austria) and the two bridges over the Venter Ache .
