1945 Chevrolet Pick-Up - OAZ 1945

1945 Chevrolet Pick-Up - OAZ 1945
Here's a peek inside the 'Nitro' pick-up truck.

As you can see, it's just as clean on the inside as it is outside!

Looks like this one is actually a Chevrolet and not a GMC. They sure kept the interior clean!

Yeah, just noticed the logo on the wheel myself ... strange though as the records do show it as Chevrolet GMC, but I guess no system is perfect.

Chevrolet and GMC are nearly identical with small changes to trim pieces. GMC did use Pontiac motors in their trucks, but I'm not sure about the war years. I did send off for a GMC book today and it will be interesting to see what it has to say about 1945. The front grille has been re-chromed, but when I zoomed in ... it appears to have the Chevrolet logo on it. The steering column is a much later model piece, but I'm assuming the owner thinks it's a Chevrolet too! :-)

Thanks Norm, be interesting to hear what your book actually says about that year given what you said before about the post-war situation.
