DVLA records show this as a Bond, but it isn't one I recognise. Anyone out there able to confirm if this is correct or not? What ever it is it's one beautiful little car.

Update: Now identified as an AC Ace, probably from the late Fifties ... thanks to Norm for his help!

, Indycaver (Norm), , have particularly liked this photo

Cool photo! I'm not a 100% sure on the year, but I think this is a 1957 Ace Bristol ... future body of the Shelby Cobra.

Thanks Norm, you're a mine of information. Just been trying to enhance the badge which was slightly over-exposed and you're spot on ... it is an AC.

Not sure about the Bristol though as all the ones I've found online following your suggestion have "Bristol" below the AC logo so maybe it's powered by something other than a Bristol engine or maybe it's a replica and they've just stuck an AC badge on it. Either way, it's definitely an Ace or an Ace replica so thanks again for the input.

You could be right Paul. I think from 1953 to 1963 you could get it with either an Ace or Bristol engine. I thought the body lines suggested an earlier body and the racer look had me thinking of AC Ace-Bristol in 1957. In this form, the car raced at Le Mans in 1957 and 1958. The only ones I've seen over here have been running Fords! :-)
