1969 Riley Elf - TVY 57H

1969 Riley Elf - TVY 57H
Built as more luxurious versions of the Mini, both the Wolseley Hornet and the Riley Elf had longer, slightly finned rear wings and larger boots that gave the cars a more traditional design.

Production reportedly ceased in late 1969 when British Leyland discontinued the Riley and Wolseley brand names so this particular car, first registered on 5th December 1969, would have been one of the last produced.

Indycaver (Norm), have particularly liked this photo

Most days ... I'd prefer to make my commute in a Sherman tank and I'm not sure I'd be comfortable driving something this small! :-)

I certainly wouldn't want to be out and about in one Norm if you were trundling around in that Sherman tank! ;)

You're safe ... a good used Sherman is outside of my price range! A bobbed M-35 is a possibility though! :-)

Still a bit of a beast and I still wouldn't want to get in its way! ;)

Probably the last nail in Riley's coffin - I always thought they were an ugly little beast compared to the 'real' mini.

You're right in what you say Mike ... an acquired taste perhaps, but I must admit I did like this one if only because it was in superb condition! :)
