Thank you! These portraits were made for an art trade themed Icons, and I did this series of my favourite early 1900's English queer writers as Orthodox and Catholic martyrs. According to legend, Anastasia the Roman was a martyr who's tongue and breasts were cut out but who still continued to pursue her calling. Radclyffe Hall wrote a book called "the Well of Loneliness" that was banned & burned for depicting lesbian relationship in a positive light.
