Do You Know I Love You?

Do you know I love you . . . since we're both orange people in a world of purple?
Skiddo Is Always Known by the Numerals 23
"Skiddo! A noise like a snake signifying motion in opposite direction without delay. Intimates that your absence is preferable to your company. It conveys the admonition that in case you are slow in making your exit, you will be assisted on your journey. Fills a long felt want. Like the sign $ indicates dollars so skiddo is always known by the numerals 23."

Christmas Greetings from Brunhouse the Coal Man

Brunhouse the Coal Man was located at 151 N. Newberry Street in York, Pa., in 1907.
Merry Xmas, Happy New Year
"Any favors, $1.00, 50c, 25c, or even dimes, will be thankfully appreciated by yours truly, The Messenger Boy." Walter Spahr, identified as "Messenger No. 1" on two similar greeting cards, presumably used the cards to solicit tips from customers. The card publisher--"Balch Bros. & West Co., Utica, N.Y."--is apparently still in business as Balch Bros. Flags and More, a supplier of flags and flag accessories now based in Syracuse, N.Y.
