What is that - is it just a cutout of Charlie? Kind of like what The Beatles did with their album cover for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Interesting nonetheless!

Yes, it is a cutout just like ones on the cover of Sgt. Pepper (I think Chaplin is there on the cover, too)! This one was evidently a prop used in a photo studio at an amusement park or elsewhere. There's no identifying information on the back of the postcard, unfortunately.

I originally guessed 1915-18 as the date. Chaplin became wildly popular as the tramp in 1915, and those skirts are long. On the other hand, the men's duds look more modern, and the flower is an important consideration. Don't you wish people would date their photos?
