Studied at Paris Conservatoire with Laget. Debut 1865 as Ottavio 'Don Pasquale" at Theatre Lyrique Paris.Created Scopas " Erostrate" reyer , Sextus 'Polyeucte" Gounod .and created Jesus in the oratorio de Marie-Magdeleine by Massenet at the l'Odéon on 11th April 1873.
