Despite their name, great black slugs (Arion ater) come in black, brown, brick red, orange and grey. This one was edging around a concrete wall. His spiracle for breathing can be clearly seen.

Not sure what he was doing up there, very dry wall, no food. He must have been desperate to get to the other side!
