three horses and barn
I have been visiting this large barn with the fieldstone foundation for at least 20 years, watching it collapse, sometimes slowly, or more quickly after a windstorm or a blizzard. The three horses have been grazing nearby for the past several years, so capturing the barn and the horses in one image is a treat.

I would suppose that a good shelter would be essential for horses in Saskatchewan.

You are correct. I don’t know where, but there must be a shelter nearby for these animals.
