A solitary cow in the lower left grazing in the Big Muddy Valley in southern Saskatchewan. The fence, I suppose, is to keep livestock from straying, although the grass doesn't look greener on the other side.

By zooming in, I was able to see the bovine. It indeed seems to be lonely. This is certainly one of the loneliest places I have ever seen, Bill.

Hi Ronald. Saskatchewan is a large, thinly populated place, and the Big Muddy is often called the Badlands, for a reason. As you can see, there is not much vegetation. It takes a large area to support one grazing cow, so ranches tend to be very large.
