Japanese Anemone and Fly

Japanese Anemone and Fly
I caught this fly just starting to climb on to the stamens of the Japanese Anemome - Anemone japonica- and managed to get this shot. This Anemone is a member of the buttercup family and is native to Asia. The fly is, I think, a Flesh Fly - Sarcophaga carnaria - which, because of their habits of feeding on dead animals and insects, dung piles etc. etc. can carry various diseases. Seen at Three Sisters, Wigan.
