Wow, that's an imposing mountain, looks amazing, must take your breath away, such a stark contrast with the plains and trees! A wonderful image.

We have had a bit of respite from the rain at the weekend, but more rain in forecast on Tuesday, we are so lucky compared to other parts of the country who are experiencing awful flooding. I hope the floods are not affecting you x

Thanks, T. It's a nightmare for so many...just an inconvenience for me. Ok to date, touch wood. Glad you're all good. x

oOo Bev oOo has replied to Phill G: o0o oh my goodness Phill you are a poet and I did not know it ;-) o0o

and so here goes ;-)

*

Friday night is fish night tradition says its so . . .
but all the fish in the river sadly had to go . . .
far away to escape the menu that is so close by ;-)
trout and bombay duck ~ oh my oh my oh my !
Saturday is a memory after a late Friday night ;-)
and dishevelled Phill I think you may look a sight ;-)
flinging the windows open to wave to passers by
we all used to look at you and laugh and we did sigh ;-)
there goes funny Phill again its Friday night for sure
we always know when he's around he whistles us for more ;-)
and as we wave back at him and he goes on his way
we see he's eating fish chips much to our dismay ;-)
he parks his car and staggers over the bridge to find
that we are waiting and laughing but we are not unkind ;-)
we take you to the Swans Nest to watch the football there
and we all sit and watch you as at the screen you stare ;-)
what match is this then Bev you are heard to say
I just laugh and smile and say ~ just watch them Phill at play
and as you slowly fall asleep we all leave but turn and smile
we leave you snoozing in the bar, as we walk out in file . . .

We went to Amboseli a couple or so years ago and that's pretty much all we saw of the 'big lump' because of clouds. A bit disappointing but also very special. Nice shot.
