Lacewing egg on Thistle flower head

Lacewing egg on Thistle flower head
Photographed near Newton, Suffolk, England. I think this is one of the underrated wonders of the natural world, the way the Lacewing lays its eggs on the end of a hair in order to prevent predators such as ants reaching the egg, as they are too heavy to climb on the hair to get there!
