New Year swim

My first swim of the new year today. While parts of Europe, England and the south west of Scotland were buffeted today by stormy winds, the North Sea coast in East Lothian was surprisingly calm. As you can see, this little bay, between Gullane and Aberlady, was like a millpond. And there was even sunshine! Happy new year to all our friends on ipernity from Rabbit and his staff xx

Spring is in the air (Rabbit hopes) on the shore of Loch Leven

What a beautiful day today! It took us by surprise, after a dreich damp day yesterday and snow earlier in the week. If you walked quickly and stayed in the sun, it even felt warm! Here is Rabbit enjoying the winter sun on his fur, by the shore of Loch Leven, between Kinross and the RSPB wetlands reserve at Vane Farm.

....this time, without Rabbit! Kicking myself that I only had the baby camera and not the big camera with me today - but with light and skies and colours like this, even the baby camera didn't do too badly!
