'Dragon' inn, Tallinn

'Dragon' inn, Tallinn
The 'dragon' has a matter-of-fact repertoire and approach - elk soup, 'pie' (actually more like a flaky sausage roll), sausages, a large plastic barrel of gherkins, and beer. That's the extent of the menu. 'You want or not?' is the greeting from the staff. Here they are taking a break in between the stream of slightly bewildered tourists. I thought they looked rather like a Dutch painting.

Oh, and I should add that there is no cutlery.....not even for the soup...

It is like a Dutch interior. Beautiful. And the menu at least means you don't dither for ages making up your mind.

Beautiful. I agree it does have the feel of a Dutch master. We often go into a small restaurant in Santa Luzia in the Algarve where the menu (there isn't one!) is take it or leave it!

purdy, have you been to the restaurant in Tavira which also has no menu and just offers 'fish or meat'? We once went, and were asked 'carne ou peixe?'. When one of us asked for 'carne', we were told there was no carne. Peixe it'll be, then!
