Old West Entrance of West High
1934, West High Panther, Salt Lake City. The statues (2 of 4 are visible in this photo) and ornamental frieze were the work of Mahonri M. Young, an artist born in Utah who went on to study in Paris and New York, and who lived most of his adult life in NYC and on the Weir Farm in Connecticut. I recent read a biography of the artist.
