Unlike my old Canon the Olympus OM-D is not good at catching these faster birds, the AFC is quick enough but waking the camera with half press of the shutter is far to slow and the 300mm lens (Canons equivalent of 600mm) has to be closed down to 75mm while finding the target then open up to 300mm once the target is locked on.

I have seen an Olympus lens 300mm f4 which is great Maurice ..but it is two thousand pounds. I use a Nikon 300mm f4 for these with a 1.4 teleconverter.
