A bearded tit

Lovely bird - although I can't make out its beard!!!!

The beard Jenny is the dark marking running down its face.

Aha - that just looks like a dirty face!!!! LOL

Great shot Steve, I have a problem with this type of shot as the camera wants to focus on the nearest object which for me are branches or twigs on a tree, by the time I have made a manual adjustment the bird has usually gone.

I use continuous autofocus and single spot focusing Maurice. I will take a number of photos at ten frames a second. I try and keep the single spot over the bird which is some way off. Some will be out of focus but by trying to keep the spot on the bird I find I get a few in focus too. A bit hit and miss but I find it works better for me.
