This duck had the choice of two meres and three fresh water lakes. It chose to drink from a muddy puddle.

LOL - yes it's like that with my cat - sometimes he drinks from a puddle, instead of his fresh water bowl in the kitchen!!! I do love his curly bit at the tail, and the wings aren't a plain colour at all, the feathers are beautifully dotted - and I can see the flash of blue under his wing, which shows up beautifully when they are in flight.
