(Quelle: Wikipedia)

The bright fish is a Blind Cave Fish, the dark ones are normal Mexican Tetra. All belong to the same species, Astyanax mexicanus, but the Blind Cave Fish lives in lightless caves and has therefore lost some properties (e.g., skin pigments and eyes). When born, the Blind Cave Fish has eyes. As it grows older, skin just grows over them and the eyes degenerate completely, because there is no need for sight in the pitch-black world of a cave.
