I dunno.... I think the lighting is fine and everything. To me, it's a case of the background overwhelming the pretty rose -- not that there's anything wrong with the backdrop, just that it was pulling the eye away from your main subject a bit too much. Hope that makes sense ;)

Splendida rosa, la penombra aiuta a non "bruciare" i colori ed il risultato finale è di estrema eleganza.
PS Il taglio esalta la rosa, ma l'originale è più equilibrato... IMHO :)))
