Just two weeks after I took this photo United withdrew their final 737s from service - United had been the launch customer for the B737-200 series, entering service with them in April 1968.
On 28th October 2009 flight "UAL737" departed Washington Dulles and routed to Chicago O'Hare, Denver, Los Angeles before finally touching down at San Francisco where it will be prepared for its final flight to one of California's boneyards for storage.
