Virgin liveried 86242 'James Kennedy GC' stands at Warrington Bank Quay with a southbound service. 100 of the Class 86s were built in 1965-1966, known as AL6 at the time. E3101 - E3200, but it seemed that there were thousands of the things, especially south of Crewe. This little fella lives across the line in the former Crossing Keepers house at Saltcoats. He normally kept his distance but on this occasion he wandered into the cabin, had a look around and jumped up onto the table. When he was satisfied I meant him no harm, he curled up and fell asleep.
