The Gold Key series Space Family Robinson actually predates the television series Lost in Space, which stars another namesake family, the Robinsons. Instead of Will and Penny, we have here youngsters Tim and Tam, whose parents Craig and June are also scientists like the crew from Lost in Space. Absent, however, from this earlier series are the meddlesome stowaway-saboteur, Dr. Smith, and his oft-reluctant companion, the Robot.
