A beautifully colored and formed wild mushroom, growing beneath a grove of White Pines near the shore of Lake Loree at the Sunny Hill Resort and Golf Course in Greenville, New York. This special place is in the Catskill Mountains.

Thanks for your many visits and comments! I love the unusual color of this species. Mushrooms make great photographic subjects, as they don't move! and don't want to be paid! lol

Many thanks once again, George. I can't wait to get back up there in early October for my last visit of the year. I'll bet there are a couple of new mushroom species popping when I get there, or ones that I missed.
