SHC17/50 Ruw - Rough
Scavenge Hunt 17/50: Iets ruws

Scavenge Hunt 17/50: Something rough
Storm Eunice is wreaking havoc over the Amstel. Gusts and blasts of wind sent water flying up the Amstel, up to at least five metres high. The wind roared through the trees and branches broke off. Some cyclists continued on foot, few cars drove and public transport was halted. It was fascinating but also dangerous to be outside, I went home from work. It was code red, i.e. it was not recommended to go outside, only if one had to. Later I read that many trees fell down.
Around the time when I took the photo, the storm at Schiphol Airport reached 92 km/h (10 Beaufort) with gusts up to 126 km/h.
In the regio of Amsterdam three people died from falling trees.
