Sinking Mastodon
The La Brea Tar Pits was a trap that captured countless animals over many thousands of years. I feel so helpless behind a fence watching this scene re-enacted again by a struggling mastodon.

This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera with a KOWA 1:3.5/55mm lens and Kowa L1A ø67 filter using Fuji 160NS film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
