Time is measured in centuries for a coastal redwood's reign over the land.

This photo was taken by a Hasselblad 500C film camera and Carl Zeiss Distagon 1:4 f=50mm T* lens with a Hoya Infrared R72 ø67 filter using Rollei Retro 400S film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

This was a test run of Rollei Retro 400S film which has a red sensitivity up to 730 nanometers. I used a R-72 IR filter and externally metered the shot at ISO 16 which resulted in a tripod assisted 1/2 second exposure at f=11. It is my favorite photo for the month of April, for sure.
