Per a suggestion from my friend Tacheles, I have masked the background and replaced it with a dark radial gradient (from sampled tones of the subject). Film aficionados may not like the digital adjustments compared to the original. Obviously, the background could be further modified . . .

This image was shot from a Zenza Bronica S2 Medium Format camera with a NIKKOR-P 1:2.8 f=7.5cm lens using Kodak T-MAX 100 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally manipulated with Photoshop.

Tom Angelo, Kurt Sadjina, Tacheles have particularly liked this photo

Utterly amazing! Perfect! Pretty darn good!
I can hear a distant pixel-symphony, when Scott is fiddling with masks and layers in PS.
Perhaps it would have been quicker to grant the monk some dollars and a black cloth in oder to keep the background sombre. ;))

I like them both but this one is a standout image ! The darker background really highlights those amazing silvery tones and the razor sharpness.... nice one Scott !
