The church of Ferwoude (Ferwâlde) has been plastered in remarkable bright colours. The oldest parts date back from the second half of the 13th century. Reports tell that the church and tower were demolished in 1762 to sell the tuff stones to the cement industry in Makkum. The present church was built in 1767.

Sawmill (houtzaagmolen) De Jager is a typical Frisian mill, built most probably in 1719. On the right hand side the former miller house.

This drawbridge over the river Regge is called 'Giethemer Kerkbrug' and was built in 1907. People of the hamlet Giethmen used the bridge as a short cut, when going to church in Ommen (kerkbrug = church bridge).

Núria/Vall de Núria (1.964 m), a valley in the Catalan Pyrenees, with a mountain resort and a sanctuary. The place is only accessible by foot or a rack railway.

St. Mary's Chapel (Weldam kapel) - at the Weldam Estate - was built in 1900. Since 1979 the church houses the Anglican Church Twente.

'De Grauwe Beer' (Grey Bear) is a so called 'belt mill' (a 'belt' is a man made hill). September 2014: the mill has been moved 50 meters further away from the river to protect it for possible floodings.

Monastery of Sant Joan de les Abadesses: 'Holy Mystery', a sculptural group made up of seven images depicting the Descent of Christ from the Cross. They are dating back to 1251.

Kasteel (Castle) Nieuwenbroek is dating back to the year of 1560. Gatehouse and main building surrounded by a moat.

Limburg, Eijsden - Kasteel Eijsden/Castle Eijsden. The 17th century renaissance style castle is one of the top 100 buildings in the Netherlands.

Castle Arcen (Kasteel Arcen) is dating back to the 17th century and was built by the Dukes of Gelre.

Windmill Het Noorden is an octagonal smock mill, which was built in 1878. The mill was used to drain the polder of the same name, in the northeastern part of the island of Texel. Later the need arose for a more powerful drainage system and a pumping station running on oil was added. The windmill became more and more out of operation and was shut down in 1923. The mill was repaired in 1928, but was definitively decommissioned in the 1960s for the drainage of the polder. In September 2017 the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten (Society for Preservation of Nature Monuments in the Netherlands) became the owner of the windmill, after which a thorough restoration took place. Windmill Het Noorden - an iconic building on the edge of the polder - is currently once again in use by volunteers.
