"Hear the Wind"

"Hear the Wind"
This is a Wind-Catcher. I previously used a shot of part of this structure. For an explanation of its purpose please see following ~
www.ipernity.com/doc/292367/41450056

I am linking my shot to "Hear The Wind" by Gene Clark.

25 years ago (May 24, 1991) we, tragically, lost Gene. He was only 46 years old. Gene was buried at Saint Andrews Cemetery in his birthplace of Tipton. His headstone is simply inscribed "Harold Eugene Clark – No Other".

There is currently a Petition to Induct Gene Clark into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

"During Gene's time with The Byrds he penned many of their most beloved and influential works including “I’ll Feel a Whole Lot Better” “Set You Free This Time” “Here Without You” “She Don’t Care About Time” and was the main composer of “Eight Miles High” considered by many to be among the greatest singles of the 1960s."

Rest in Peace, Gene.

A lovely shot of this interesting feature Roger. Almost expected to hear 'Catch the Wind' by Donovan, but 'Hear the Wind' is such a beautiful song. Love it. Btw I think by the purposeful approach of the dogs and with no tree or lamppost in sight this feature might be about to catch more than just the wind! Lol!

This is such an interesting structure and reminds me of a musical instrument my son had as a child. (Beautifully captured too.)

It's nice to see Gene at this point in his life and to hear this lovely song. It was a great idea to post a link to the petition to get him inducted to the Songwriter's Hall of Fame. I hope it will happen. :)

Very evocative, with the dogs playing around the huge structure which looks as if it has some mysterious significance. Are those pilgrims in the distance? Are the dogs not playing but being mysteriously attracted to the mysteriously significant sculpture?

Cheers very much, John. And, thank you for the fave. Yes, they could very well be pilgrims in the distance and the dogs are on the way to investigate the structure I'm sure :-)))
