Sun After the Rain

The day was not only disturbed by thunderstorms but also by a small drama. A carrier pidgeon tried to escape a craw and crashed against one of our windows. We tried to keep it safe when we found it sitting in front of our basement door where it moved to after having hidden for a while under our hedge.This morning it was still alive but died a few hours later. Quite sad. I still have to bury it...
I was quite surprised when I found that it had two rings around its legs - as I first thought it was a normal pidgeon. So I informed the holder through a "man of confidence" of the pidgeon breeders association. - Poor thing. Nothing else I could do.
