Museum Meermanno-Westreenianum 2014
Museum of the book, more commonly known as the Museum Meermanno. The museum was founded on the collections of baron W.H.J.van Westreenen van Tiellandt (1783-1848) and a cousin of the baron Johan Meerman (1751-1815). The house and the collection became a museum in 1852.
Located in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Museum Meermanno – Offensive books? – Cartoon from a Max Blokzijl book
Max Blokzijl was a publicist for the national socialists in occupied the Netherlands. He had a weekly radio talk and he was also the head of the media department of the ministry of Public Education and Arts. After the war he was tried and convicted for collaborating. He was executed in 1946.
