Turin 2017 – Regia Farmacia XX Settembre
Royal Pharmacy 20 September.
On September 20, 1870 Rome was captured by the Italian army from the Pope. With that defeat of the Papal State Italy was unified. The Pope did not give up his claim on Rome and the surrounding country, but this Roman Question was finally resolved in the Lateran Treaty of 1929. Since then the Pope only rules over Vatican City State. Together with San Marino the Vatican City State are the only remnants of the many independent states of Italy.
