The instrument of torture

In the old days prisoners were shown the instruments of torture before they were tortured, so as to make them confess (they were tortured anyway, to make sure that the confession was not just made to escape torture). The oysters here are shown the oyster’s knife, but as they have no eyes, it does not produce any effect.
