You have to make an appointment for old furniture, but some people just put it on the streets or days in advance of the appointment.

We used t do that in England but very often the items were taken by the rag and bone man so when the dust cart called there was nothing left for them to take, honest!

We used to have that when there were fixed collection days for large stuff, but you can still see it, but I doubt that this furniture is wanted.
