Black Pete chocolate

Black Pete, the Dutch/Belgian helper of Sint Nicholas, has been controversial in recent years. People who like Black Pete say that he is black because of coming down the chimney. Critics point to the red lips, curly hair and gold earrings, and say that you don't get those things from coming down the chimney. This has resulted that in some cases the red lips, curly hair and golden earrings have been dropped. Chocolate makers however still portray Black Pete in the traditional way.
