Hm, I see some differences, mainly the absence of sabres, although the Dutch mounted police used them until the 1960s or 1970s. In the 1960s a protester died because of a sabre wound. After the police action, the commander ordered that the sabres were thrown together, so that nobody could know who administered the wound.

Astonishing that sabres were still in use so late, good job Maggie didn't know when the Miners strike was on!

After 1965, when the stabbing incident took place, the points of the sabres were blunted. I believe they went out of regular use in 1970.
