The Canal d'Ille et Rance is a broad canal and is part of the Waterways of Mainland Europe.

It runs for 52 miles and 7 furlongs through 48 locks from Pont de la Route de Lyvet (where it joins the La Rance) to Rennes (where it joins the Vilaine).
