Juno Beach 2014 – Cosy’s Pillbox

Juno Beach 2014 – Cosy’s Pillbox
From the descriptive text: “Cosy's bunker was the site of fierce fiighting on 6th June 1944. It owes its name to Lt. W.A. “Cosy” Aitken. This Canadian soldier was entrusted with the mission of capturing the fortification with 10 Platoon “B” Company The Royal Winnipeg Rifles. A first assault by machine-guns and grenades enabled them to capture the position, but Lt. Aitken was badly wounded in the head. Engineer reinforcements arrived and an explosion toppled the pillbox. The Germans surrendered, but only 26 men from “B” Company survived this valliant and difficult battle in the dunes of “Mike Green” Beach.”

I wonder if 'Cosy' survived?

The description only said that Cosy suffered a head wound, but managed to take the pillbox, so I guess he survived the attack.
