An accident with a car on the Kanaalweg in Leiden meant the death of a 16-year old girl.

Family and friends will be scarred for life. The car driver will not be feeling so happy either I suppose. Traffic deaths have decreased from more than 3,000 a year in the early 1970s to 570 in 2013, but it is still a lot. People in the 16-24 age group are more likely to die in traffic.
