Indeed, a proper car. Apparantly most of these old Citroëns are in the Netherlands, instead of driving around in French villages.

The father of André Citroën, the founder of the Citroën company, was Dutch and was simply called Citroen, or Citron. The French added the diæresis.

I have learned two things from you for I was unaware the founder of Citroën was of Dutch origin, and I did not know the name of the symbols, thank you.

If I was flush and came to Holland, how much dosh would I have to cough up for traction avant?

It will depend on model and condition. Unrestored versions are cheaper, a nice cabriolet will be more expensive.
