These Dunlops were not expensive and had very good reviews and ratings. They are not winter tyres, but I don't drive much in cold weather.
Latium has replied to Michiel 2005 clubI took our car to a very helpful place in Rochechouart and he checked all the tyres, replaced three and rotated all five at a very reasonable cost.
Dunno about the same tyres on each axle, must look. although the chap knew what he was about so...
As to winter driving, I too don't drive much either, but our car needs replacing and as we are not yet sure how severe the weathers are here from experience, am toying with the idea of having a 4x4.
Winter tyres should help a lot with driving in the snow, even if you don't have a 4x4. The only drawback is that winter tyres cannot be used in the summer, so you have to change tyres in Spring and Autumn.
Latium has replied to Michiel 2005 clubLatium has replied to Michiel 2005 clubSo whilst the weather is very mild and relatively warm for the time of year, we think it is an anomaly and it is prudent to be prepared, hence the new generator in the garage ;¬)
A 4x4 seems to cover most contingencies, but it does beg the question of whether it is necessary for one to venture out if the weather is so severe, unless one is already out and trying to get home of course, or if there is an emergency and one needs to get out.
Thanks very much for the information, as ever you are most kind and helpful ;¬)
