Not often for they are 'soft skinned' vehicles and I was an armoured vehicle bod, always was glad to see them though for they were our B echelon vehicles with food and fuel on board..

Jumped from the back of them while still moving though, as part of our parachute training, not recommended ;¬)

Btw they were normally called Bedford 'three tonners' in the army.

Oddly enough I was 'damaged' more from jumping from the back of a three tonner than jumping from an aircraft when parachuting ;¬)
