Must have been cleaned/renovated for the last time we saw them they were very faded.

The lady who led us around told us that the tapestries were on a cleaning rotor. Every couple of years the tapestry is sent to Spain to be cleaned and repaired. The tapestries were not recoloured, but perhaps the cleaning and a bit of computerised colour enhancing has improved the colours.
