Debarques sur cette plage dans la nuit de 27 au 28 fevrier 1944 et tombes pour la liberté des Pays-Bas.

Op dit strand geland in de nacht van 27 op 28 februari 1944 en gevallen voor de vrijheid van Nederland. Zij behoorden tot het Franse 1e Bataillon de Fusiliers Marins Commando."

Six French commandos died on the beach in the night of February 27-28, 1944. They died for the freedom of the Netherlands.
