Leeuwenhoek on the Science Museum

I feel proud to see a Dutch name on this Viennese museum, but it is rather misplaced. I have nothing to do with mr. Leeuwenhoek, I'm not a scientist, the only connection is that I live in the same piece of land that he lived in. That is not really something to be proud about.
In London I felt the same as in the British Museum "Leiden" was mentioned, without further explanation. Apparently everybody knows Leiden...
