Entrance of the Tevelingshofje (the Tevel Almshouse) in Leiden
Leiden has a lot of almshouses mostly dating from the 17th century. This one dates from 1666.
Rich people from Leiden left their money to built these almshouses. This one was founded by Charles Tevel. His brother Jacob extended it.
The almshouse was built by Wilhelm van der Helm.
