Room of the Imitation Marble
This is called the room of the imitation marble due to the colourful decorations dating from the beginning of the fourth century AD which simulate a marble covering of opus sectile.

The altar shown above is evidence of the late nineteenth century activity by popes and by the Passionist community of the Basilica of Saints John and Paul.
